What I saw

Walking through nature, my mind also wanders. I move into a state of different awareness. I notice what I usually overlook and take for granted, or have no time to see it.

Seeing is a gift

We see with our eyes, our heart, our soul and body.

Seeing is different from looking at, knowing or understanding.

Seeing is more than looking at.

Seeing involves intuition and knowledge.

Fortune tellers and psychics also call themselves “Seers” --don’t laugh!!!

The expression: ”I see, said the blind man” means more than those words.

What I see is guiding my life.

And nature has so much to teach us.

When I went to Death Valley a few years back, I marveled about a dessert bush growing on a sand dune. Many settlers, years ago, died because of the harsh elements and this plant can thrive there and seemingly enjoy the last rays of the setting sun. I saw this and it filled me with wonder and admiration-such a tough little thing.

And walking through a winter forest, the trees and vegetation had prepared for the change of season--of course we all know that, but when I saw this silent white scene, this blanket of untouched white, I admired how nonchalantly nature survives and how much beauty there is around us if we just knew how to see it.

I hope seeing these photographs you will enjoy what I saw............
