The group of artists represented in this exhibit came to this country on their own volition. They came to explore a new land and to start a new life. They brought with them values of their home country but assimilated easily. Today they are Americans but they will always be Germans.
The works created by this group of artists reflects the joy and energy of a new life in America and a past life in Germany spanning a large geographical chasm. By stitching together elements of both worlds they create a new artistic voice informing on the meaning of being an immigrant.
